What is the trigger to Sparrow Allergy?
Consistent and prolonged exposure to sparrows triggers sparrow allergy. An individual may be at risk of triggering such allergy if he or she has a sparrow as pet or who work with sparrows on a daily basis. Some of the main sources of allergens include:
- Sparrow’s feather dander. Sparrows usually create dander or the powdery dust that resulted from disintegration of its feather shafts. The dust produced by such disintegration are sucked into furnace air filters which spreads everywhere in the house.
- Sparrow’s feces. Once the sparrow’s feces become dry, it can be a potential source of bacteria, dust, or fungi. These allergens are considered to be airborne and can trigger sparrow allergy.
